Issue #32 – Lazy Dog Restaurant

The Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar was founded in 2003 by Chris Simms, Gabe Caliendo, Steve Price, and Roshan Mendis, with the group opening the first Lazy Dog restaurant in Huntington Beach, California. They have been serving American food since their opening. The concept for the restaurant was inspired by the Simms family who have a long standing tradition of hospitality going back three generations. Their idea was to create a special place for families including their K-9 members which was inspired by an enduring love of food and fireside conversation.

They wanted to share a small mountain town vibe. The restaurant has a happy and friendly atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming. They serve lunch and dinner for both dogs and people. The dog menu consists of hamburger, chicken, brown rice, peas, and carrots. The people menu consists of burgers, soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches and other items. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is a very fancy and great location to bring your dog to for lunch and dinner.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar also has a special menu just for your dog. All dogs are welcome to eat at the restaurant’s outdoor patio as long as you follow their rules which are written on the doggie menu. They have a luxurious covered patio with lots of fans, a beautiful fire pit, and outdoor heaters so you and your dog are both comfortable in the summer and winter.
