Created by French immigrant David G Lorenzi in 1926, Lorenzi Park has transformed throughout the years into one of the most beautiful community parks in Las Vegas. Containing baseball diamonds, 3 playgrounds, 15 picnic areas, and a large lake for fishing, the park has something for everyone to enjoy. Newly remodeled, Lorenzi Park is very clean and comforting. There is plenty of space for picnics, parties, or simple social gatherings. There is even an interactive splash pad for the hot summer days.
Built in 1967, Sunset Park is located in Henderson. This massive park is a great place to enjoy some RC boating, as it has a boat dock made specifically for the small toys. If that is not desired, walk around the large pond for amazing scenery. A fountain display is in the center to attract passersby. After your legs have warmed up, walk around the abundant trail system within the park.
Craig Ranch Regional Park
What was once a large golf course has now been transformed into Craig Ranch Regional Park. Equipped with the latest playground equipment and amenities, this park is sure to draw attention. Nested in North Las Vegas, Craig Ranch encompasses every park goer’s wants and desires. A massive adventure park, a skate park, a dog park, a large lake, and a community garden are just a portion of what the park contains.
Nature Discovery Park
Established in 2003, it features a man-made lake, waterfall, and pathways. They also have a multi-story play equipment. Nature Discovery Park in Aliante has quickly become one of the most popular new facilities in North Las Vegas. In addition, the park offers tennis, volleyball, bocce courts, soccer fields, horseshoe pits, several picnic sites, and an amphitheater.
Desert Breeze Park
Desert Breeze Park is one of the largest parks in the area. Throughout the year, the park is home to several events that draw massive crowds within the community. With its large open fields, it is a great place to take your pets and let them roam. They have several dog parks, a community center with a pool, playgrounds, and every athletic field imaginable. It is located in the Spring Valley area, giving incredible views of the Strip.
