Issue #12 – In the real world: Chris Mchale

Spotlight on Chris McHale

 chris mchale

“I’d rather be bowling”bowling, that is something you might hear our Real World Spotlight say. Chris McHale has lived in Las Vegas all his life and graduated from Clark High School in 1984. Even when he was growing up bowling was his favorite sport. As an athlete for Special Olympics Chris has achieved scores as high as 175! Chris works for Transition Services Inc. where he is a valuable member of “Yards 4 You”chris mchale 2. He has been with TSI for over a year and will take on any task that needs to be done. He is also very helpful in showing new crew members the ropes. Although Chris has a full work (and bowling) schedule, he does something that we think is absolutely amazing! In his spare time Chris spreads his love of sports by coaching baseball. He first coached city leagues teams, and while he enjoyed it, he would “rather be bowling”. Three years ago he was recommended to be a coach for Miracle League and has been assisting their players ever since. He helps the players on his team, The Red Socks, learn the fundamentals of the game. He enjoys showing them how to hit, pick up, and throw the ball. Chris told Circles Magazine that he really likes people and that volunteering his time to help others makes him feel really good. Chris isn’t the only member of the family that is giving of their time. His wife June coaches with him, although he didnt say he shares his love for bowling
