Car clubs are a trend that has been around since the early fifties. People love showing off their classic beauties or their latest up to date whips. For those who love cars it is better entertainment than the latest block buster movie. While car enthusiasts spend many hours perfecting their rides they love to donate their time to notable charities as well. Several car shows/meets are held every year for the causes they support. Autism Awareness, The American Cancer Foundation, Toys for Tots, American Parkinson’s Disease Association, and a number of local food, coat, and toy drives are just a few of those causes. The car community also often holds benefits such as car washes to support local families that have suffered a tragic loss.
Circles Magazine attended one of these events. It was a classic car show and motorcycle ride to benefit The Injured Police Officer’s Fund. It was also in remembrance of 9-11. Participating law enforcement agencies such as Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, Boulder City Police department, and Clark County Park Police displayed their state of the art vehicles and equipment. There was also a wide variety of other cars from classics to late models. There was truly something for everyone. The next time you are looking for something to do, and you don’t want to sit in a crowded theater full of strangers, find a car show or meet. They are family friendly fun!
