There are many different types of musicians. Some of them have disabilities that they had to overcome to become awesome artists.

Ray Charles was a blind American musician who made a big impact in soul music, rhythm and blues (R&B), and gospel in the 20th Century.

Ludwig Van Beethoven was an influential German composer and a pianist who suffered from severe hearing impairment and had a distended ear.

Pop diva and actress Cher has suffered from dyslexia since an early age. She has gone on to be one of the most remarkable stars that the world has ever known.

Stevie Wonder is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Stevie Wonder was born blind.

Ian Dury, British pop singer and songwriter, helped to bring the new wave era to the forefront. Dury often needed to use a cane as an aid to walk due to a childhood battle with Polio.

Brian Wilson is one of the “Beach Boys”. Brian Wilson is partially deaf and also has bipolar disorder. He has put a lot into his band, and is the primary songwriter for the band.
