We have a solution! These sandwiches are
quick to make, easy to take, and something
to excite your mouth while on the trail.
Always wash your hands before handling any food.
Ingredients and Equipment:
(makes 4 sandwiches)
1, 8oz package cream cheese, room
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
1 carrot, peeled and grated
1/2 cup raisins
1/3 cup trail mix
8 slices of bread
Save extra sandwiches in Ziplock bags
and place in the refrigerator to retain
their freshness For a sweeter taste use a trail mix that includes dried fruit.
Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon
finely grated lemon peel, 1/2 cup raisins
and 1 cup grated carrots.
Step 5:Add 1/3 cup trail mix and stir all ingredients together
in a bowl until it’s soft and spreadable.
Spread onto bread and cover with other piece of bread to make a sandwich.
