Issue #3 – Movie Reviews (Major League: Back to the Minors)

We found inspiration in the inner strength of a young man on a football team, following his own athletic dreams.  We also found our time could have been better spent on the field then watching a would-be baseball comedy that didn’t quite live up to its prequels.

A Warner Bros. Movie,
Comedy, 1998, Rated PG-13

Who’s In It?
Scott Bakula (Gus Cantrell), Corbin Bernsen (Roger Dorn), Dennis Haysbert (Pedro Cerrano)

What’s it about?
A guy named Roger Dorn (Corbin Bernsen) owns the undefeated Minnesota Twins major league baseball team as well as the bad luck minor league South Carolina Buzz. Roger is tired of the minor leagues losing streak so he decides to pass the management duties for the minor league club to former pitcher Gus Cantrell (Scott Bakula), the fate of the unhappy Buzz begins to change. Eventually, the Buzz take on the Twins, with Bob Uecker back delivering play-by-play in this third Major League movie.

What did we like?
We liked when the South Carolina Buzz began to win games! They even got to play against one of the best teams Minnesota Twins.

What Didn’t We Like?
This movie was not that interesting and it was not as funny as part 1 and part 2.
