Issue #1 – recipe: Caprese Skewers

Caprese(prounced ca-pray-zee)skewers are a simple,
delicious italian appetizer that makes a great addition to a
party, dinner, or get together. it requires no cooking, and only takes about 15 minutes to prepare.
This recipe makes about 15-20 skewers.

Ingredients and equipment
you will need:

2 packages of grape
tomatoes

2 packages of fresh
mozzarella balls

2 packages of
fresh basil

Balsamic Vinegar

Olive Oil

Salt

Mixing Bowl

1/4 measuring cup

1 tablespoon measuring spoon

Wire whisk, or mixing spoon

15-20 bamboo skewers
(avaible in the housewares section
of most grocery stores or Walmart)

Serve immediately, or refigerate for up to an hour before serving.

Alternative

If you are not comfortable using skewers because they are too sharp, or it is too difficult to put the ingredients on you can mix the tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and drizzle together in a serving bowl and serve as a salad that can be spooned onto individual plates
